Pine Casket

The pine casket is ideal for those individuals who would prefer a more traditional type of burial. Pine is a hard wood that does have a straight grain and it is widely used in manufacturing furniture, cabinets and other products. Ranging in color from pale and white to a ruddy brown, pine has a fine, natural look and texture. Although they could be decorated and painted, in the past, the design of a casket tended to be very simple and not overly ornate.

There are some religions that have specific requirements for properly burying the deceased. According to Jewish law, the burial rituals call for the use of a simple wooden casket. Other people may have beliefs or desires that are best satisfied with the use of such a casket.

If your loved on would prefer that you did not spend a lot on the costs of their burial, you will end up spending a lot less on a plain casket made of pine that you would on an elaborately metal crafted one. For those who are environmentally conscious, this selection will still suitably satisfy the purposes of burial of the dead and have less of a negative impact on the environment.
