Funeral HomeA funeral home, also called a mortuary or parlor, is a place that prepares the deceased for burial. Some are family owned and operated and others are part of a corporation. Not only do they take care of the deceased but they also help the family plan the whole ceremony. Different parts include, preparing the body, organizing the ceremony at a church or other religious place of worship and the graveyard. They help the family organize all of this and help to make the day run smoothly. They also offer wake services, write obituaries and carry out the wishes of the family and the deceased. Many parlors offer cremation services to families because this is becoming a very popular option for the deceased. Parlors also help families plan for their ceremonies before a member passes away. Some families choose to have family plots purchased beforehand so that the family members can be buried together after they are deceased. This helps to ensure that their wishes are being carried out the way they wish. Although death is not comfortable and it is an unfortunate occurrence it is important to have plans made beforehand so that it is as easy as possible for the remaining family members to carry out. |
