As opposed to the production cast ceramic, this urn is made in the classic, traditional manner by a potter's wheel. Due to the nature of it's creation the hand thrown urn can be a highly personalized memorial for your loved one.

In contrast to the hand-thrown urn, the production cast urn is assembled via factory line and are produced on a mass scale. The clay is molded by machines but then is glazed and hand-decorated through the use of stencils. Generally the stencil has been mass-produced as well according to the design of a team of artists within the company.
